Esther is a bridge-builder, fostering relationships across continents, cultures and perspectives. She's an advocate for those in need and has created iconic imagery for charity: water, Warby Parker, TOMS, Salvation Army among dozens of other organizations impacting our world for good. More than a photographer, she is a storyteller — capturing not just a person’s portrait but their true essence and what makes them shine. Over the past 15 years, Esther has worked in over 75 countries on 7 continents working to raise millions of dollars in funding for organizations ranging from clean water initiatives, anti-trafficking efforts, job creation programs, health care, and school access for vulnerable populations to name a few.

No matter the story or culture, Esther’s highest priority is always respecting, empowering and caring for the person in front of her. She strives to see and photograph people for who they really are rather than just what we see on the surface. This search for deep beauty and hope is why her images exude a rare joy, vibrancy and warmth. She's constantly striving to transform the way people see themselves and each other and she hopes her work inspires you to look for the beauty in all humanity.

"One of Esther's greatest gifts is she truly sees people and that seeing translates into a deeper understanding of the needs and the potential in those she serves. These are some of the most important qualities in effective communication and these qualities always come out when Esther speaks. It’s as if she wears special glasses and in her communicating she shares those glasses with all of us. Anyone who has sat under her teaching sees the world and the people in it in new and compassionate ways."                                                                                   - JENNIE ALLEN  Founder of IF:Gathering and Author of Nothing to Prove
